K/KB 1-3 Fuel Tank U-Weld Kit
 
 
So I spent a couple years trying to look for a good fuel tank. I bought tanks from other people at great expense only to find they literally had hundreds of holes. I even bought an entire pickup in my search only to find that fuel tank was no good. So I designed and made a laser-cut / CNC formed U-weld kit. This is a direct replacement for the original. The same mounting points, fuel fill location, sender location, and fuel supply fitting. It is a nice joint to weld, not a corner-to-corner. It is 14 GA, so much thicker than original. 
 
Once you or a local welder does the welding, use between 3 and 5 psi to test using soapy water at the joint. Once it passes the leak test, you can powder-coat or paint as you like. These cost about $100 to ship in the US and $150 to ship to Canada from my experience. A drawing is provided.
